Summer vacation with my parents August 15th, 2003 | Leave a comment

I spent the best vacation ever. I’m a little bit sad that it’s over, just dropped my parents to Dulles Airport. In a few hours, they’ll be back to France.Three weeks ago, my parents came to the US to visit me and we went to a lot of places! I drove around to show them Rockville and Gaithersburg. Then we went to Great Falls Park to see the rapids.

The best part had to be our one week trip to California. We first met Van Loan, who is my mom’s best friend. They met at Long Beach Airport for the first time in 30 years, contact was lost amidst the agitation back then in Vietnam. We visited Crystal Cathedral in Anaheim, ate out in Little Saigon community, walked in a vietnamese martyrs shrine, went to the vietnamese memorial, tried some attractions in Disneyland and went to admire Laguna Beach.

After that, my parents and I met my grand uncle who lives in Yorba Linda. I never knew I had so many uncles and cousins in the US, actually learned that one of my uncles is a director at Ericsson in Singapor …
I got to drive to Hollywood where I found the Michael Jackson star. We also visited the Grumman’s Chinese Theater.
We went back in Washington DC and I gave my parents a tour of the city to conclude our trip.

I’ve been really busy with work recently but hopefully my schedule should be less hectic because this week our team delivered a project after a year of hard work! I bought a brand new 5MP digicam and had everyone (the people who didn’t leave …) gathered for this picture.

Maryland snow storm February 18th, 2003 | Leave a comment

One of the worst storms ever hit the east coast, blowing heavy snow and wreaking havoc. I have never seen that much snow in my life. I was stuck at home for 3 days. I think the worst is over now but it took me 3 hours to shovel and dig out my car.
